At Dorwest, caring for dogs and cats is at the forefront of what we do. This is why we supply cat and dog supplements and herbal medicines, and we are proud that our veterinary herbal medicine range is fully licensed by Veterinary Medicines Directorate.
Last year, we celebrated a special birthday, 2018 marked the 70th anniversary of Dorwest Herbs, and as part of our 70th birthday and to show our commitment to ongoing charitable giving, we launched the Dorwest Foundation. We wanted to ensure our 70th year was not only a time to reflect on our heritage, but also to look to the future and give something back to the dog and cat world.
We have a long history of supporting charities and good causes. Every year we give away 100's if not 1000's of vouchers and products to charitable causes, often through dog shows and other events. We have paid for life-saving equipment for animals at the local fire stations and a defibrillator at Championship dog shows. We also donate products to charities to help dogs like Beau.
The Dorwest Foundation helps dogs and cats that are in need of care, health and quality of life improvements and well donate to established animal welfare charities on an annual basis through the sales of our special foundation products. We know we aren't the only pet-lovers out there who want to support the welfare of dogs and cats, so we've made it easy for you, too, to support dogs and cats with Dorwest.

In December 2018 we were delighted to donate £500 to each of these 5 different dog and cat charities. This cash made a real difference to these charities who put every penny to helping the animals in their care. “We rescue dogs like Grace who was rescued just before Christmas. She was living in a cemetery, surviving on scraps. Grace had such bad mange that her skin was raw and infected. This was so painful for her. Your wonderful donation went towards our vet bill.” “When Skye was found by a member of the public, she was emaciated, weighing just 12.8kg and dehydrated. This was purely down to neglect and lack of food. The vets started her on a re-feeding programme and was released from the vets on the 5th January to go to her foster home. Thank you for your donation!” “Your donation helps towards vet costs that ensure the well being of our animals in care with full vaccines and neutering etc. Jake was neutered and Mable and Finn were vaccinated. Thank you for your support!” “The donation paid to fund one of our dog meat trade dogs to arrive in the U.K., her name is Nana. She was a victim of the meat trade most likely stolen from her owners, she arrived just before Christmas and is settling into her new life here with us but will be looking for her retirement home. She’s around 10 years old bless her and has had such a bad life, without donations like yours our work is not possible so we thank you so very much.” “Your donation was used to help heat our cat pens and purchase some raw food for cats needing a specialised diet. You also helped us care for a number of sick cats, Noel was a stray in Gloucester, we worked closely with another local rescue group to bring him in to our Isolation pen and give him treatment and care. Thank you so much.”Find out more about the dog supplements we have available and get in touch with one of our friendly team on 01308 897272 or use our contact form.
