Q. Can BrainCopa® help with noise sensitivity?
A. BrainCopa® can help to stabilise mood and behaviour, so can support your dog in managing noise sensitivities associated to ageing. For general anxiety, we would recommend our Scullcap & Valerian Tablets, to help naturally reduce your pet’s stress, without causing drowsiness.
Q. Can BrainCopa® be used with other Dorwest supplements?
A. Always check similar ingredients of products intended with a Dorwest product expert.
Q. Can BrainCopa® support epilepsy?
A. BrainCopa® can help to support general cognitive function and brain health in all ages of dogs but is particularly beneficial for those that require extra cognitive support. Many of the ingredients are known to have properties that help to support and maintain a normal level of excitability, as well as having general benefits for brain and nervous system function. BrainCopa® is suitable for use in those with epilepsy, and there are no known interactions with other supplements or medications. However, we would always advise contacting your vet prior to use if your pet is on medication.
Q. Can BrainCopa® be used alongside medication?
A. We would always recommend speaking to your vet if your dog is currently on any medication.
Q. What age can you start giving BrainCopa®?
A. You do not need to wait until you start noticing symptoms before giving your dog BrainCopa®, as this can be used to help with the general ageing process of your pet.
Q. When will you see benefits from BrainCopa®?
A. We recommend at least 3 weeks’ use before seeing results.
Q. What are the signs of doggy dementia?
A. Doggy dementia or CDD is hard to diagnose as can be best detected through behaviour changes seen by the owner. Behavioural changes that could indicate doggy dementia include:
- Increased barking.
- Change in eating habits.
- Disorientation.
- Agitation.
- Change in sleeping habits.
Q. Can I give this if my dog has pancreatitis medication?
A. BrainCopa® Tablets have less than 3% fat, and there are no known issues in giving BrainCopa® alongside pancreatitis medication – but we would always recommend checking with your vet if your pet is on medication.
Q. My dog does not like tablets, what can I do?
A. We know that some dogs & cats just do not like tablets! BrainCopa® can be crushed and sprinkled onto food, suiting even the fussiest of eaters. Our Pill Crusher is perfect for this!
Q. Can BrainCopa® be given alongside other Omega-3 products?
A. Absolutely, BrainCopa® only has 10mg of DHA powder which is from sustainable algae, so can be used alongside other Omega-3 products.
