Homemade Dog Biscuits are not only a great treat for your dog but also the best way to know exactly what your dog is eating. 23rd February is National Dog Biscuit Day and to celebrate, we wanted to share this tasty homemade peanut butter dog treat recipe including one of our best selling herbal supplements, Keeper's Mix. This is a fantastic way of getting an extra boost of vitamins and minerals into your dogs diet in a fun and delicious way!
To start, you'll need:
- 150g Plain Flour (can be swapped for a gluten free option or oats)
- 2 tbsp Peanut Butter (Xylitol free)
- 1/2 Sweet Potato
- 1 Scoop Dorwest Keeper's Mix
- Blueberries optional
- Silicone moulds optional
Boil the sweet potato until soft and mash. Let cool.
Add all ingredients (apart from blueberries) into a bowl and mix into a dough - you may need to get your hands in to make sure it's all combined together. You can add some water if you feel it's needed.
Place a blueberry at the bottom of each mould and add the dough.
Place in the oven for 15 minutes at 180 degrees.
Leave to cool completely and serve to your four-legged friends.
