We know our Garlic & Fenugreek Tablets for dogs are a firm favourite, having been one of our best sellers for 60 years! However, we are always looking for opportunities to improve and develop our products further - and we thought it was time for them to have a makeover.
The reformulation includes a change from garlic oil to black aged garlic extract (BAGE), which brings a whole host of additional positive features while minimising the chance of side effects. It means our Garlic & Fenugreek Tablets are now gentler on the tummy and more palatable. With much less of that pungent garlic odour, so now even the most sensitive dogs can enjoy the benefits. The tablets are also smaller and no longer sugar coated, as we don’t have to hide that garlicky whiff anymore. You won’t find any titanium oxide (TiO2) for colouring either.
If you're a loyal Garlic & Fenugreek user, then don’t worry! The number of tablets you need to give your dog won’t change. We have carefully calculated the reformulation so the amount of garlic your dog will receive is the same. So you'll continue to see the great effects, but with some added perks.

What is black aged garlic extract (BAGE)?
Black aged garlic is created by fermenting fresh raw garlic, using heat and humidity, for a period of 90-120 days. This changes the chemical profile of the garlic, resulting in:
- Less allicin - reduces the offensive garlic odour, is gentler on the tummy and minimises the risk of side effects.
- Increased antioxidant concentration - these neutralise free radicals and have a beneficial effect across the body. Antioxidants have a naturally calming action to help maintain general cell health and help promote a healthy immune system.

Our Garlic & Fenugreek Tablets have been developed to allow you to administer a consistent, measured amount of garlic to your dog. We specifically selected black aged garlic to help further increase the safety profile of our Garlic & Fenugreek Tablets.
A study in dogs demonstrated that giving aged garlic extract to dogs, at a much higher amount than that found in our products, had no adverse effects.1 From this they concluded that aged garlic extracts don’t contain the compounds which are responsible for the potentially more serious side effects of garlic use in dogs, such as anaemia.1
